Dr. David Atallah, MD, MSc, is a highly experienced professor and surgeon specializing in gynecologic oncology and breast surgery. He has been a full-time professor at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth) since June 2019 and serves as the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hôtel-Dieu de France since April 2018. Dr. Atallah has been actively practicing as a gynecologic oncologist and breast surgeon at Hôtel-Dieu de France for over 19 years.

In addition to his surgical work, Dr. Atallah is the Editor-in-Chief of the Lebanese Medical Journal, a position he has held since January 2019. His education includes a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Liverpool (2013-2017) and specialized training in gynecologic oncologic surgery, pelvic surgery, and urogynecology at renowned institutions such as Salpetriere University Hospital and Deaconess Hospital.

Dr. Atallah’s extensive medical training also includes his time at Institut Gustave Roussy, a leading comprehensive cancer center, where he worked as a surgeon from 1999 to 2005. His foundation in medicine began with an M.D. from Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth, followed by an internship in obstetrics and gynecology.
